our scanning process
After unpacking your images we will view each frame to be scanned individually on a colour calibrated lightbox using a quality 4x loupe. The image will be assessed for shadow and highlight detail, sharpness and colour balance before being loaded into the scanner.
Unless you request otherwise we will scan at 4000ppi and save your image as a 24bit RGB TIFF file with Adobe (1998) as the embedded profile.
Once saved your image files will be written to CD's or DVD's which we supply FREE* of charge then packaged securely with your media and returned via Royal Mail using one of the options below.

Transparencies can be mounted or unmounted, however we do recomend that you remove your film from glass holders as these can become damaged in the post and ruin your image.

Medium format transparencies/negatives should be supplied either unmounted in sleeves or mounted in card mounts that facilitate the removal of the image for scanning.
When suppling in strips please observe the following:

6x6 - maximum 3 frames per strip
6x7-6x9 - maximum 2 frames per strip
6x12 - single frames only
